How to use the OC creator
Three steps, all on this page. Nothing to install and no account to make.
- 1
Choose an art style
Start with the Art Style row: Anime, Chibi, Semi-Realistic, Storybook, 3D Toon or Pixel Art. The style sets the line work, shading and proportions of everything else.
- 2
Tap the traits
Pick one button in each row: Character Type, Gender, Hair Color, Outfit and Expression. Add up to 300 characters in the description box for a name, a prop or a color you want.
- 3
Generate and save the PNG
Press Generate Character and wait, usually under half a minute. Download the PNG straight away, because the image is only stored for a limited time.
What makes this character maker different
Buttons instead of a blank prompt
Most AI tools hand you an empty text box. Here every trait is a labeled button, so you can make an OC without knowing what to type.
Full body, head to feet
Every result is one 2:3 portrait, and the prompt asks for a single standing character with room around the edges, so outfit, shoes and tail usually stay in the shot.
Prompts ask for originals
The instructions sent to the model ask for a brand-new character, not one from an existing anime, game or film. The same picks usually give a different face on each run.
27 fandom style makers
Want ponies, speedy hedgehogs or demon hunters? Each fandom page below has its own rows, such as pony type, cutie mark or special ability, instead of the general ones here.
Timed, not guessed
We generated 65 test images across all 28 pages. The median wait was 24 seconds, the fastest 17, and 9 in 10 finished within 42 seconds.

What people make an OC for
Where a finished image from the OC creator ends up most often.
Profile pictures
Crop the head and shoulders for a Discord, Tumblr or game avatar based on the traits you chose.
Fanfic and novel casts
Give a written character a face before chapter one, then keep the image next to your notes for consistent descriptions.
Roleplay servers
Post the full-body image in your character sheet so other players can picture the outfit and build.
Reference for artists
Hand the image to an artist friend or a paid commission as a starting point for colors and clothing.
Tabletop parties
Show the table what your elf mage or android rogue looks like at session zero.
Worldbuilding
Try up to three looks for a key character in your setting, then keep the one that fits next to your written cast notes.
What is an OC creator?
OC stands for original character: a person, creature or hero you invent yourself rather than borrow from a show or game. An OC creator is any tool that turns your choices into a picture of that character.
There are three kinds. Dress-up makers like Picrew stack pieces one artist drew. Prompt-based AI generators draw from a sentence you write. This site sits between them: you choose from fixed rows like a dress-up game, and the model draws a new image from those choices.
Common mistakes when you make a character
Mistake: Naming a famous character in the description box
Do this instead: Describe the traits you like instead, such as a red scarf or a calm stare. The prompt already asks the model for an original character.
Mistake: Repeating the buttons in the description
Do this instead: The rows already cover type, hair and outfit. Use the 300 characters for what they can't: a prop, a pattern, a mood.
Mistake: Changing every row between tries
Do this instead: Each run draws a whole new character, so settle the rows that matter most first and change only one or two between your three free tries.
Mistake: Typing your real name or address
Do this instead: The description is sent to the AI model as written. Give the character a made-up name.
Free OC maker: what's free and what we keep
Your first three characters are free
Each visitor gets three free characters for life, with no account and no card. We count them per device and network.
No photos, no gallery
There is nothing to upload and no gallery to come back to, so download your PNG. Generation records are kept as our Privacy Policy describes, and we don't use what you type to train models.
Fan-made, not official
Fandom names on this site only describe an art style. The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any franchise.
Know the limits
The OC creator can't redraw a character exactly: the same picks give a new design every run, so save the ones you like. For art you plan to sell, an artist is the safer choice.
