Privacy Policy
What OC Creator records when you design a character, and the little data the site needs to run.
Last updated: 2026-10-26
OC Creator (occreator.net) creates original characters from the options you pick on a form. You never upload a photo. This page explains what the site does handle, why, who else sees it and how long it stays. "We" and "us" mean the people who run occreator.net.
The short version
- You choose options and may add a short description. That is all the generator receives from you.
- We don't sell anything about you, and we don't use what you type to train AI models.
- To keep free characters fair, we store a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address and a device identifier, never the raw IP address.
- There are no accounts, so we never ask for your name or email address.
What you send us
Your character choices. The art style and the other options you select on a page, plus the optional description you type (up to a few hundred characters). Please keep personal details such as real names, addresses or phone numbers out of that box: it is sent to the AI model as written.
Emails. If you write to us, we keep the thread so we can answer.
What the site records on its own
- Free-character allowance. A salted hash of your IP address, an identifier your browser works out from its own settings, and how many free characters you have used. The browser identifier is also kept in your browser's local storage.
- Generation records. Which page and options were used, the description you typed, when it ran, whether it worked, and a link to the result.
- Request logs. As with any website, our host sees your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, to serve the site and to stop attacks.
- Visit counts. Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without anything that identifies you. We see totals such as page views, countries and where visitors came from.
Cookies and local storage
We don't set cookies for visitors. Your browser's local storage holds the device identifier above and whether you chose the light or dark theme. Clearing this site's data removes both.
Services that handle data for us
A few outside services help run the site. Each one gets only what its job needs:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and its database; like any web host it sees your IP address when you connect.
- AI image model providers — receive the options you picked and any description you typed, run the model that draws your character, and keep the result for a limited time so it can be downloaded.
- Plausible Analytics — counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or when it is needed to stop fraud or keep people safe. We never sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long things are kept
- Character images: the AI provider that made an image keeps it for a limited time so you can download it, then deletes it. Save the characters you like.
- Generation records: kept while we run the service; email us to have yours removed.
- Free-allowance records: kept while we offer free characters; they never contain a raw IP address.
Your rights
Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, send you a copy, fix it or delete it, within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Younger users
OC Creator is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If you think a child under 13 has sent us personal details, email us and we will delete them.
Security
The whole site runs over HTTPS. Each result is stored under a long random address that isn't listed anywhere, but anyone with that address can open it, so share result links only with people you choose.
Where data is processed
Our host and AI providers use servers in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in.
Updates to this policy
When this policy changes, so does the date at the top. If a change affects how your descriptions or results are used, we will say so on the site first.
